Sarah & Juan Manuel
Proposal - August 3, 2024 Wedding at the residence of the Ecuadorian Ambassador
in Washington, DC
I’m so glad you reached out.
Let’s envision your wedding together.
Film & a whole lotta love.
Dear Sarah and Juan Manuel,
I’m so grateful you’re considering me to be a part of your wedding day! Weddings are all about the feelings - the feeling you have when you’re together with your partner, the feeling you get when you come home and your dogs greet you at the door, the feeling you get when you land in a new destination, and the feeling you get when you finally commit to that person forever should all resonate similarly. My goal is to make sure those feelings don’t get replaced with staged photos and frigid frames.
Sarah, during our inquiry call, I’m so glad you told me you and your (now husband!) are artsy museum people. It’s one of the things I love so much about DC and I feel like your wedding is going to be such a reflection of that. An intimate ceremony at the home of a family friend seems like the perfect celebration for you two.
Juan Manuel, although we didn’t get a lot of time to get to know one another, Sarah told me a bit about how you guys met and she immediately knew you two had a connection. I think it’s beautiful that you’re able to have your wedding ceremony technically, on your home soil.
I wish you both the absolute best and I look forward to getting to know you better!
Cheers,
Katelyn

“One of the best parts of the photos was something Katelyn works hard to provide–photos that truly display the day as it was without being posed or overly stylized. This style was perfect for us, and it created so many wonderful candid moments that we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.”

Why work with me?
Because you know you want to have an absolute blast on your wedding day, and you know you want to have those moments documented in a way that you’ll still remember in 30 years.
-
You can always extend your coverage. My wedding clients are my priority - so up until the day before the wedding, you can add time to your day.
-
Your wedding day is shot on 35mm, medium format, and polaroid film. All film is scanned and added to your digital gallery, and your polaroids are packaged and mailed to you.
-
Every time I capture a photo for you, it’s written onto two SD cards. Then, every night after I capture a wedding, your photos are then backed up onto two external hard drives. Your wedding day is safely preserved for packaging and delivery - so have no fear and drink your beer!
